What we collect, and what we do with it
Short version: an email address if you choose to give us one, plus standard analytics. Nothing is sold, and you can have it all deleted by asking.

Who is responsible
Inspire Retreats is a Global Viewpoint brand, run personally by Jon Miksis. For any question about your data, or to have it removed, email hello@inspireretreats.co and it will be handled personally, normally within a few days.

What we collect
If you join the retreat list. Your email address. Optionally a first name, an indication of how ready you are to join a retreat, and anything you choose to write in the free-text box. The free-text box is optional and exists so a reply can be useful rather than generic. We also record which page you signed up from, so we know which writing is worth doing more of.
If you apply for a retreat. Your name, email address, which retreat you are interested in, and your message.
If you just read. Google Analytics records standard usage data: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser, and how you arrived. This is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.
We do not collect payment details on this site, and there is nothing to buy here.
Why we collect it
To reply to you, to tell you when retreat dates open, and to understand which content is useful. Where consent is the lawful basis, you gave it by submitting the form, and you can withdraw it at any time. Analytics rests on legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
Who processes it
- Formspree and Resend handle form delivery, the mailing list, and the emails we send.
- Vercel hosts the site and processes standard server logs.
- Google Analytics provides usage statistics.
These are the only processors. We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone else, and we do not run advertising trackers.
How long we keep it
List subscribers are kept until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed. Retreat enquiries are kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to it. Analytics data follows Google’s standard retention.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or EU, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. You have these rights regardless of where you live as far as we are concerned: email hello@inspireretreats.co and it will be actioned, normally within a few days.
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Using it stops all list email immediately.
Cookies
The only cookies set are Google Analytics ones, used to measure usage. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If you would rather not be measured, browser do-not-track settings and ad blockers both work here, and nothing on the site breaks without them.
Changes
If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated.
